About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced operational leader to oversee manufacturing performance across a busy production environment. Working closely with senior management, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving productivity, maintaining quality standards, developing teams, and supporting the continued expansion of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery.
  • Monitor production performance and implement improvements to maximise output and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage production schedules in line with business requirements and customer expectations.
  • Take ownership of operational decisions to ensure targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and introduce practical solutions to improve performance.
  • Implement and maintain robust quality procedures across production and supplier processes.
  • Promote and uphold Health & Safety standards throughout the operation.
  • Lead, support, and develop production teams through effective people management and workforce planning.
  • Drive employee engagement, training initiatives, and long-term capability development.
  • Track and analyse operational performance metrics to support informed decision-making.
  • Manage departmental budgets and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate stock, materials, and supplier activity to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to maintain smooth business performance.
  • Communicate operational updates and proactively manage risks and production challenges.
  • Champion continuous improvement and encourage a culture of accountability and progress.
  • Support maintenance planning and operational reliability across manufacturing equipment.
  • Introduce and maintain consistent operational processes and standards.
  • Plan resources and operational capacity to support future business growth.
  • Build effective supplier partnerships to maintain quality and continuity.
  • Lead operational projects and business improvement initiatives as required.

Requirements / Skills:

  • Previous experience in a senior production, manufacturing, or operations leadership position.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing environments and production processes.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and manage change.
  • Experience maintaining quality systems and workplace safety standards.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Commercial awareness and confidence making operational decisions.
  • Practical and proactive approach with a focus on achieving results.
